Pennal is the southernmost tip of the ancient Kingdom of Gwynedd, still remembered today as the County of Gwynedd, Pennal is near Machynlleth,a mediaeval market town which is 4 miles away inland on the A493. Pennal is famous for its church its people and its beautiful location.
   

Penal Church

Penal Church, is situated at the centre of the village near the mouth of the river Dyfi, and was home to the last Owain Glyndwr parliament. A beautiful medieval church open to visitors all year round.

Cefn-Caer

A wonderful mediaeval hall house

Cefn Caer is a grade 2 listed building a pre fifteenth century Mediaeval Hall House situated in Pennal. Cefn Caer is open to visitors all year, but only by appointment (tel: 01654 791230)
